Limited spots available from October 2025
This space is for you if you:
Feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck
Have experienced trauma or emotional wounding
Feel creatively blocked or disconnected from your body
Crave deeper self-understanding, safety, or softness
Are ready to explore therapy that includes your whole self
Tried talk therapy, but want something deeper and more embodied
From Disconnection To Embodiment
Maybe you’ve tried talk therapy. Maybe you’ve journaled, meditated, done all the “right” things — and still feel like something’s missing.
You’re not broken. You’re not alone. What feels like a block is often just a doorway waiting for a different key.
At Reconnect Space, I offer 1:1 therapy that helps you get out of your head and back into your body — so you can release what’s been held, build capacity in your nervous system, and reconnect with your innate wisdom.
Sessions are personalised and experiential. I draw from multiple modalities, adapting to meet you right where you are.
What sessions feel like
Each session is shaped around where you’re at and what you need. Some days we start with a gentle check-in or creative warm-up. Other times, we dive straight into the body.
Together, we might explore through artmaking, mindfulness, somatic tools, or guided reflection — always at your pace. Sessions often close with grounding and space to integrate what’s surfaced.
Curious how it works?
You’re welcome to book a free 15-minute call to ask questions and see if it feels like the right fit.
How I work
My approach is integrative, experiential, and guided by what you need in the moment. I blend several evidence-informed therapies including:
-
Creative Arts Therapy offers a way to explore what words can’t always express. Using art, movement, sound, and imagery, we access deeper layers of your experience in a gentle, paced way. You don’t need to be ‘creative’ or have any artistic skill. This work is about expression over perfection, and finding insight, relief, and meaning through the creative process.
-
Somatic therapy invites you to tune into the wisdom of your body. Rather than focusing only on thoughts or stories, we explore sensations, emotions, and patterns held in the body. This can bring deep relief, clarity, and grounding. I often draw from Hakomi Therapy — a mindfulness-based somatic approach that gently uncovers core beliefs and helps shift long-held patterns with compassion and care.
-
Ecotherapy brings nature into the healing process. Whether through guided sessions outdoors or using natural elements in creative ways, we reconnect with the rhythms of the earth to support regulation, clarity, and a deeper sense of belonging. Nature offers calm, perspective, and a gentle reminder that we are not separate from the world around us.

Stories of transformation
“Julia was attentive and intuitive in helping me navigate choppy waters, helping me back to myself.”
Personal Therapy Client
“Julia is a wonderful and skilled practitioner who gently guided me through the therapeutic journey from grief to hope. I’ve gone from just hanging in there to really enjoying my life again.”
Personal Therapy Client
“I have worked with many therapists and Julia’s presence and genuine care and compassion is a very rare and beautifully supportive thing. In my sessions with her, there is a safety that she creates that makes me feel like I can just let go, and that she can hold whatever comes up. I highly recommend her for psychotherapy and am very grateful to have the opportunity to be supported by her.”

FAQs
-
You do not need to have any prior experience in making art or be an artist to benefit from these sessions. In fact, art therapy is specifically designed to be accessible to individuals of all skill levels, regardless of their artistic abilities.
It focuses on the process of creation rather than the final product, placing emphasis on the therapeutic benefits that arise from engaging in the art-making process. So, whether you consider yourself an artist or have never picked up a paintbrush before, therapeutic art-making can be a valuable and transformative experience.

You'll need a sketchbook (ideally A4 or A3) and basic art supplies, pick 2-3 options from the list to get started.
Coloured pencils
Coloured Markers or felt tip pens
Watercolours & brushes
Pastels (oil or chalk)
Acrylic paint
Collage materials (old magazines and glue)
Playdough or clay
Art therapy is a creative process in which we can use the more traditional art materials you can see above or we might also use things like old tea boxes from your recycling or some natural objects collected from outside.

My sessions are therapeutic and evidence-informed, but they may not be the right fit for everyone. They are not a substitute for crisis care, psychiatric treatment, or medical advice. If you're experiencing acute or severe mental health challenges (such as active suicidal ideation, psychosis, or substance dependency), I encourage you to seek support from a specialist service or crisis team.
My work is best suited for individuals who are stable enough to explore their inner world with curiosity, and who are looking to deepen self-awareness, regulation, and emotional processing in a supportive space.
