At Reconnect Space, we help you to get out of your mind and into your body.
We offer creative art and somatic therapy in Melbourne and online.
Â
Our world has never been more connected, yet we find ourselves increasingly disconnected from our being. Reconnect Space offers a retreat from the pace of the everyday rush, a place where you can slow down and reconnect to your body's innate wisdom and sense of purpose.
We provide a creative framework for expression, healing, and transformation. Our mission is to reconnect you to your mind, body, and soul through art therapy, somatic regulation, and mindfulness. You'll learn practical tools to support yourself in managing stressors and challenges with more ease and compassion. Read testimonials here.

About Julia Neubauer
Founder, Reconnect Space
Â
I’m a qualified Arts and Somatic Therapist and the founder of Reconnect Space, a sanctuary for slowing down, reconnecting, and healing from the inside out.
My own journey through anxiety, grief, and trauma is what led me here. For a long time, I tried talk therapy and other healing modalities. They helped, but something deeper still felt untouched. It wasn’t until I discovered somatic and creative arts therapies that I began to feel real change—not just insight, but a shift I could feel in my whole body.
Born in Austria and raised in Spain, I studied for my first degree in England, then spent several years living, working, and travelling around the world. Those experiences shaped my curiosity for human nature, consciousness, and the many ways we heal.
My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, nervous system regulation, and creative expression. I don’t offer quick fixes or rigid formulas. I meet you where you’re at, and together we work gently with what’s present—reconnecting you to your innate wisdom, creativity, and joy.
When I’m not working with clients or learning about trauma, you’ll find me making pottery, meditating, or on a walk in nature.

A soulful approach to personal transformation
